Granite Archer Raceways
I'm excited to announce Granite Archer Raceways!
(I've been having a lot of trouble
finding a machine shop that can build GAR track sections to my standards.
Fortunately, after a year of searching, I think I have found one. We are hoping to
start receiving pieces
sometime in Feb. '07. Thanks for your patience, Brad & Mike)
- GAR track sections are 4 lane,
sectional pieces of track that can be set-up and torn down much
like standard HO track (Tomy, Tyco, Mattel, Life-Like).
- GAR track sections are designed to connect together via my "bowtie" system.
- GAR track sections also incorporate my "tongue and groove" joints for smooth transitions.
- GAR track sections come only with Tomy sized rail for "magnetic full downforce" effect.
- GAR track sections utilize the exact
same 3" geometry standard that Aurora developed
and 1½" lane spacing that Tyco used. So duplicating your existing
circuit should be NO problem.
- GAR track sections are programmed into
the latest version (v3) of Tracker 2000.

- If you design a track in Tracker 2000,
then just send me the .tr3 file, and I'll know exactly
what track sections you'll need from looking on the T2k "info" page.
- Each and every section of GAR
track has the capability of being wired up for a power tap!
So no "power terminal section" is needed and you can incorporate as many
"jumpers" as you
you have track sections (if you like). No soldering necessary.
- GAR track sections have an added extra
inch on each edge of the roadway (the apron)
to allow the cars to get sideways without falling off of the track.
- GAR corner choices are vast.
Starting at what you'd know as a 6"/ 9" combo
(we call a 10" because of the added 1" apron), in 1½" increments
all the way up
to a 31" radius corner!
- GAR straights come in many choices
too.
In 3" increments starting at 3" and going all the way up to 48"!
